“-Wasting food is not only an ethical and economic issue but it also depletes the environment of limited natural resources. All actors in the food chain have a role to play in preventing and reducing food waste, /.../. The central goal of EU food safety policy is to protect both human and animal health. We cannot compromise on these standards /.../.”
- The European Commission

We humans have been shaped by the industry and are always looking for new ways of having higher efficiency in everyday life. Food is essential to us but we are also dependent on nature. What happens in the future if we continue with this path of regulations, wasting food that is perfectly edible?

Since we can grow our own meat and believe that this could be the resque for both animals and climate in the future, new questions concerning our food consumption arise.

What is it, that makes the banana to what it is? How much we can change a fruit and still have its properties.. Is it the shape, the taste or the texture?
